Naomi Osaka will be featured in a manga comic series produced by her sister Mari Osaka.  The comic series will appear in a magazine for teenage girls. 

The comic series, “Unrivaled Naomi Tenka-ichi” will be released on December 28, 2020, in Nakayoshi magazine.

Growing up reading manga/watching anime was something that bonded me and my sister so immensely so this is really exciting for both of us.

Mari Osaka, 24, is also a tennis player. But she has not been as successful in sports as her sister.  Earlier this year, she drew illustrations of her sister for Japan’s GQ magazine and Esquire.

Naomi Osaka is the highest-earning female athlete in the world. She overtook Serena Williams for that position in 2020. Osaka has been vocal about her support for the “Black Lives Matter” movement. Her activism on and off the court has generally won praise from fans and peers.
