Albot and Doinita have been together for several years, having weathered the demands of the tour and welcoming their first child, a daughter named Adeline, in 2020. The family often travels together for Radu’s matches, with Adeline regularly spotted cheering on Dad at ATP events.​

Radu Albot is a true Moldovan trailblazer. He was the first player from his country to win an ATP singles title (2019 Delray Beach Open) and the first to capture an ATP doubles trophy (2015 Istanbul Open). He also made history as the first Moldovan player to compete in the main draw of a Grand Slam event and is the first Moldovan to break into the ATP Top 100 and then the Top 50. Albot holds the Moldovan Davis Cup records for most singles and overall wins.​
