Kristina Mladenovic had a magical Fed Cup weekend where she won all three of her matches to lead the French team to its third Fed Cup.

France and Australia split the first two singles matches. Mladenovic easily beat Ajla Tomljanovic  6-1, 6-1 while Ashleigh Barty double bageled Caroline Garcia 6-0 and 6-0.

In the third rubber, Kristina Mladenovic pulled out a hard fought third set tie break win against World Number 1, Ashleigh Barty 2-6, 6-4, 7-6(1). The team score heading into the final match was 2-2 after Tomljanovic beat Pauline Parmentier.

In the deciding doubles match, Mladenovic  and Garcia beat Barty and Samantha Stosur 6-4, 6-3 to win the Fed Cup for France.

“It’s a lot of emotion to share this with Garcia after we failed on the last step three years ago,” Mladenovic said. “We just wanted to take this little revenge for ourselves.”
