Netflix To Air Three-Part Documentary On Naomi Osaka

Netflix will release a three-part documentary on Naomi Osaka on July 16, 2021 . The documentary looks at the life of Osaka, the highest-paid female athlete in the world.

The documentary chronicles the challenges faced by Osaka since she was thrust into the public limelight after winning the 2018 US Open. The documentary is directed by Garrett Bradley, an Academy Award winner.

Osaka has struggled with depression and pulled out of the French Open and Wimbledon this year for mental health reasons. She plans to return to competition at the Tokyo Olympics.

The documentary gives viewers insights into Osaka’s social activism, her family, and her journey to the top of the tennis world.

Naomi Osaka is one of the most marketable athletes in the world. She made over $55 million in the last 12 months. Big-name brands from Japan and the rest of the world have been willing to spend millions to associate themselves with Naomi Osaka.
