Two-time Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova married Jiri Vanek in Prague. Vanek has been coaching Kvitova since 2016. The pair have been dating since 2021.

Jiri Vanek is 12 years older than Kvitova.  He is a former tennis pro with a career-high singles ranking of world number 74. He succeeded on the challenger tour but did not win an ATP title.

Kvitova won the Wimbledon singles title in 2011 and 2014. She also reached the 2019 Australian Open final where she lost to Naomi Osaka. In 2011, she also won the year-end WTA finals beating Victoria Azarenka. She has earned more than $37 million in prize money during her career.
