It was only a matter of time before the sponsors came calling! Canada’s tennis darling and 2019 US Open Champion Bianca Andreescu has joined the Rolex family. Andreescu shared the news with her fans on social media.
Roger Federer has signed a deal to play exhibition matches in Hangzhou, China until 2023. Federer will be 42 years old in 2023.
The exhibition will feature Alexander Zverev (represented by Team8, Federer’s sports management agency) and the Bryan brothers, Bob and Mike Bryan.
As Federer enters the last years of his playing career, he has been increasingly willing to play exhibition matches, either for charity or money. He is already the highest paid tennis player in the world.
Federer’s sponsors have also been willing to sign up Federer for long term deals beyond his tennis playing years.
