1. Federer wears Nike Air Zoom Vapor X

Roger Federer currently wears the Nike Air Zoom Vapor X on the court. Federer was sponsored by Nike for many years.  So he has worn Nike shoes throughout his career.

2. Federer has a monster sponsorship deal with Uniqlo but only for apparel

Uniqlo reportedly paid Federer $300 million for a 10-year deal on apparel.  That deal did not include shoes as Uniqlo does not make tennis shoes.

Shoes are an important part of a player’s game. Changing shoes affect their game and may even result in injuries.

Top players are very reluctant to change to a different shoe brand.  If they do, it involves a lot of testing and takes focus away from their game. Not surprisingly, Federer has continued wearing Nike shoes, which he pays for himself.

3. Federer is an investment in On, a Swiss running shoe brand

In 2019, Federer announced an investment in On, a running shoe company based in Switzerland.

On plans to develop a tennis shoe line.  Needless to say, Roger will be the face of the tennis brand of On shoes.

4. Federer owns more than 250 pairs of shoes

Federer loves tennis but he also loves shoes.  He has said that he owns more than 250 pairs in his closet!

5. Federer To debut ROGER tennis shoes at the Tokyo Olympics

Federer is expected to wear On tennis shoes at the Tokyo Olympics.  The tennis brand will be named ROGER.

The Roger line of shoes was developed using Federer’s input.  Given how meticulous he is when it comes to his tennis equipment, the shoes are likely to be a big hit with tennis players and fans.
