Novak Djokovic Parts Ways With Longtime Agent Eduardo Artaldi. But Why?

Novak Djokovic has split with longtime manager Eduardo Artaldi. Artaldi has been with Djokovic since 2008. He was always in Djokovic’s box for his matches.

Djokovic and Artaldi, who is Italian, met when Djokovic had a sponsorship deal with Italian clothing brand Sergio Tacchini. Artaldi was working for Sergio Tacchini at the time but decided to leave the brand to work for Djokovic.

Artaldi was more than an agent to Djokovic. He and his partner Elena created a home-like atmosphere for Djokovic as he traveled around the world for most of the year.

The reasons for the separation are not clear. It’s possible that years of travel have taken a toll on Artaldi. But the other reason could be that Djokovic is looking to change his management team to land more lucrative business deals in the last few years of his career.

Novak Djokovic has not been as marketable as Roger Federer. Despite his accomplishments on the court, his sponsorship earnings are less than half of what Federer makes.
