After Dismal Results In 2021, Bianca Andreescu Splits With Coach Bruneau

After dismal results in 2021, Bianca Andreescu has fired her coach Sylvain Bruneau. Bruneau had worked with Andreescu for 4 years and helped Andreescu win her first grand slam at the 2019 US Open. Andreescu announced the split on Instagram.

It is with a heavy heart that I would like to inform my fans that my long time coach, mentor and friend, Sylvain and I, have mutually decided to end our incredible coaching relationship. Our friendship will live forever… it has been an amazing 4 years… I am very grateful for everything we accomplished together and of all our great memories. Sylvain was more than a coach… he is family ❤️

Andreescu struggled with knee and foot injuries since her US Open victory.  She also tested positive for COVID-19 last month, which hampered her preparation for the French Open.

Andreescu is currently preparing for the grass-court season. She has not announced a new coach.

Aleksandra Wozniak Reveals Pregnancy, Expecting A Baby Boy

Aleksandra Wozniak revealed on Instagram that she is expecting a baby boy soon. She married her partner in August 2020. 

Since retiring, Wozniak has opened a tennis academy in Canada. The academy trains junior tennis players and hosts summer camps.

Wozniak reached a career-high singles ranking of 21 in 2009. When she won her first WTA title at Stanford in 2008, she became the first Canadian in 20 years to capture a WTA singles title. She also became the first Quebecer to win a WTA title.
