Jenson Brooksby Becomes Ambassador For Danish Eyewear Maker Christopher Cloos

Danish eyewear company Christopher Cloos has signed a multi-year sponsorship contract with up-and-coming American tennis star Jensen Brooksby. Legendary NFL quarterback Tom Brady is one of the ambassadors of the brand.

Brooksby will display the Christopher Cloos logo on his apparel and also promote the company’s products. Brooksby will also work with the company to create his line of sunglasses and blue light glasses.

Christopher Cloos’ commitment to creating high quality, beautifully designed, environmentally friendly eyewear really resonates with me. I am proud to partner with Christopher Cloos and play a role in building the brand here in the states. As I continue to develop my game on the court, I’m committed to growing with Christopher Cloos off of it. Brooksby reached the fourth round of the US Open in 2021 where he lost to Novak Djokovic. Brooksby, who is 20, became the youngest American to reach the fourth round at the US Open since Andy Roddick in 2002. As a junior, Brooksby won the Kalamazoo Boys 18’s championship.

Christopher Cloos was founded in 2017 at the Paloma Beach Club in the South of France. The company expanded rapidly and its products are sold in over 500 stores globally.

Iga Swiatek Raises Mental Health Awareness With A Big Donation At Indian Wells

Iga Swiatek has pledged to donate $50,000 of her prize money to support World Mental Health Day. Switaek announced the news after her third round win at Indian Wells. She said that her charitable donation was inspired by Venus Williams, who recently launched an initiative to provide $2 million for free mental health therapy.

Mental health has been a focus in tennis recently. Naomi Osaka raised mental health awareness by pulling out of the post-match press conferences at the French Open.

Swiatek said:

I would say in sports, for me it was always important to use that kind of help because I always thought that in my mental toughness there is some strength that I can use on court and I can also develop in that manner.

In 2020, Iga Swiatek created history by becoming the first Polish player ever to win a singles grand slam. Swiatek is also a favorite among fans. She was voted the WTA Fan Favorite Singles Player of the Year in 2020.
