Russian tennis star Diana Shnaider is the former junior world number 3. As a junior, she won two doubles grand slam titles. Since moving to the women’s tour, she has rapidly risen in the rankings. In 2022, she won her first WTA Challenger title at the Montevideo Open. In 2024, she reached the third round at Wimbledon, her best grand slam performance.

She played college tennis at North Carolina State University before swiftly making the leap to the professional circuit. The year 2024 proved to be a breakthrough for Shnaider, as she broke into the top 20 in the world rankings for the first time. Her impressive run continued at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where she secured a silver medal in doubles alongside fellow Russian, Mirra Andreeva.

While most tennis players opt for hats or visors to shield themselves from the sun, Shnaider stands out with her signature polka-dot bandana, adding a distinctive flair to her on-court style.

Shnaider has an excellent first serve and a solid forehand. She is sponsored by Yonex. She has earned less than $2 million in her career.
