Shelby Rogers And Belinda Bencic In “Bumpgate” Controversy At Charleston

Belinda Bencic beat Shelby Rogers in three sets in the second rounda at the Charleston Open. After Bencic won the tight second set, Rogers bumped into her while leaving the court for a break.

The “Bumpgate” was a hot topic of conversation among tennis fans online. Bencic was shocked by the interaction as we can see from her reactions.

Bencic told the crowd after the win, “I completely understand. Of course, I know Shelby’s your favorite. She’s from here. She’s at home. I would love to be her bc it’s very nice when all the people are cheering for her. But I also really enjoyed this match”

Bencic recently split with her coach Dimitry Tursunov. In 2023, she has won two titles – at Adelaide and Abu Dhabi.
