Barbora Strýcová Returns To Tennis After Pregnancy

Another mom tennis player is back on the tour. Former doubles world number 1 Barbora Strýcová is playing doubles with Hsieh Su-wei.

Strýcová hasn’t played in more than two years. During that time she gave birth to her son Vincent. But she is back with her former doubles partner Hsieh Su-wei. The doubles pair was popular among tennis fans before the break.

Strycova has been working hard on her fitness the last few months to get back on the tour. In 2019, she won her only grand slam title in doubles at Wimbledon with Hsieh Su-wei.

Her best singles result also came that same year when she reached the semifinals at Wimbledon. She won the bronze medal in doubles at the 2016 Rio Olympics with Lucie Šafářová.
