Marin Cilic has signed up with Head for a comprehensive head to toe sponsorship deal. He will be wearing the Head Sprint Pro shoes and continue using his Head racquet.
What racquet does Marin Cilic use?
Marin Cilic uses the Head Graphene Touch Prestige racquet according to Head. But Cilic actually uses the TGT312, a pro stock version of the Prestige. It is not uncommon for top players to use pro stock version of racquets.
At the Australian Open, it was clear that Marin Cilic had moved on from Fila. He was seen wearing Head apparel with Asics shoes in Melbourne. But he will be switching to the Head Sprint Pro shoes.
His sponsorship deal with Fila apparently ended at the end of 2019. He signed a sponsorship deal with Fila in 2016 that included apparel and shoes. He used to wear the Fila Axilus Energized shoes.
Cilic won the 2014 US Open title. He has also reached the finals at the Australian Open and at Wimbledon. He has reached the semifinals or better at all four grand slams. Cilic has struggled with injuries throughout his career. He is already over 30 and it remains to be seen if he can reach his previous highs.
