Lorenzo Musetti hasn’t been at his best at the Next Gen ATP Finals. The Italian had a stellar 2022 in which he won two ATP titles and entered the top 30 in the rankings. 

It has been a long season for Musetti, who has played more matches than anyone competing in the Next Gen ATP Finals. In an interview, Musetti admitted that he played in the tournament because it was in Italy and out of respect for the public. He wasn’t mentally prepared for this tournament.

Another reason for Lorenzo Musetti‘s poor performance in Milan is that the courts are too and don’t suit his game well. But it is admirable that he showed up and performed well, despite disappointing results by his standards.
