German doubles specialist Kevin Krawietz married his girlfriend Judit this weekend. He shared the news on social media with a picture of the newlywed.
Krawietz won the French Open doubles title in 2019 and 2020 with fellow German Andreas Mies. The pair became the first all-German team to win a doubles grand slam title. As a junior, he won the 2009 boys’ doubles title with Pierre-Hugues Herbert.
He has represented Germany in Davis Cup and at the Olympics. He reached a career-high doubles ranking of world number 7 in 2019.
Krawietz made the news in 2019 when he was found working at the Lidl supermarket in Munich when tennis was shut down as a result of the COVIC-19 pandemic. His job duties involved stocking shelves, disinfecting carts, and providing security at the front entrance of the supermarket.
