Cruz Hewitt, Son Of Lleyton Hewitt Wins Under-12 Title In Canberra

Cruz Hewitt won the singles and doubles title at the under-12 clay-court tournament in Canberra. Cruz Hewitt is the son of Lleyton Hewitt, one of Australia’s best tennis players in recent years.

Cruz Hewitt did not drop a set in the tournament. He won the doubles title partnering Asher Brownrigg. The younger Hewitt has a game style and demeanor just like his father. 

Cruz Hewitt is active on social media, often sharing pictures of his practice. Lleyton Hewitt shared a picture of Cruz with the trophy on his Instagram page.

Lleyton Hewitt currently serves as the captain of the Australian Davis Cup team. He also mentors current and up-and-coming Australian tennis players. While he was on the tour, Hewitt was known for his determination and commitment to tennis.

Lleyton Hewitt won the 2001 US Open and 2002 Wimbledon titles. He reached a career-high ranking of world number 1 in 2001. He married Bec Cartwright in 2005. The couple has three children.
