Corentin Moutet Loses French Federation Funding After Repeated Bad Behavior

Bad behavior finally caught up with Frenchman Corentin Moutet after the French Tennis Federation decided to cut its relationship with him. Moutet is set to lose the Federation’s financial, coaching, and training assistance.

Recently, Corentin Moutet was involved in an argument with Adrian Andreev at the end of the match. Players were shoving each other and arguing, and the umpire had to de-escalate the situation. Earlier this year, he defaulted from a tournament in Adelaide. He has been fined multiple times for racquet abuse on the court.

Despite the bad behavior, Moutet reached his career-high ranking of world number 51 in November 2022. He won two challenger titles in Lyon and Szczeci. As a junior, Moutet earned a peak ranking of world number 7.
