Marketa Vondrousova announced her engagement to her long-time boyfriend Stepan Simek on Instagram. Vondrousova won the silver medal in singles at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Stepan Simek is also a tennis player. He has played mostly on the ITF tour. The couple has been dating for more than five years.

Fellow WTA players Kiki Bertens, Katie Swan, Cici Bellis, and Katie Boulder congratulated the couple on Instagram.

Vondrousova reached the finals at the 2019 French Open, where she lost to Ashleigh Barty. She has also represented the Czech Republic in the Fed Cup.

Michaëlla Krajicek and her boyfriend Jelle Sels welcomed a baby boy Valentijn Leo Sels earlier this month. Krajicek shared the news on social media with a picture.

Jelle Sels is a Dutch tennis player who plays mostly on the ITF tour. He reached a career-high singles ranking of 260 in 2018.  Krajicek  was previously married to German doubles player Martin Emmrich but the couple divorced in 2017.

Michaëlla Krajicek is the younger sister of Wimbledon champion Richard Krajicek . She reached a peak world ranking of 30 in singles and 23 in doubles. She retired from tennis in 2020. She earned over $2 million in prize money in her career.
