Serena Williams Becomes Investor In Bitcoin Rewards Company, Lolli

Serena Williams has invested in the bitcoin rewards company, Lolli through her company, Serena Ventures. Other investors in Lolli’s $5 million fund rise include Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian (through his company  Seven Seven Six) and Youtuber, Jimmy Donaldson (Mr. Beast).

Lolli has partnered with top brands such as Nike, eBay, Microsoft, and Chewy. Lolli offers rewards of up to 30% back in bitcoin. Bitcoin has been on a tear recently topping $60,000. Apps and platforms that use bitcoin have grown in popularity along with bitcoin.

Lolli has now 1,000 merchants and 250,000 users. Most bitcoin companies require payments in bitcoin but Lolli has taken a different approach. Its affiliate model allows consumers to pay in US dollars and Lolli pays them rewards in bitcoin.

Williams was previously an investor in Coinbase, a platform that enables buying and selling bitcoins. But she seemed to have sold that investment as it is no longer displayed in her portfolio of companies on her website.  Serena Ventures has interests in over 15 companies including Masterclass, Zipline, and Daily Harvest.
