Sloane Stephens Featured In Shape Magazine, Discusses The Power of Paying It Forward

Sloane Stephens is featured in the recent edition of Shape magazine where she talked about the power of paying it forward. Talking about the impact of paying forward, Stephens said,

Growing up, it was just a part of our family. Having that connection with people that we could help and be involved in their lives.”

In the interview, Stephens talks about her motivation for starting the Sloane Stephens Foundation. The foundation now supports thousands of kids in the Los Angeles area with education and tennis. 

Sloane Stephens’ best year was in 2017 when she won the US Open title. She also reached the finals at the French Open in 2018. She splits her time between Florida and California when she is not traveling to tournaments.

Jiri Vesley Unharmed In Serious Car Accident

Czech tennis player Jiri Vesley survived a serious accident in which his car was destroyed. Vesley escaped with slight neck pain. Due to the accident, he has pulled out of the Svijany Open in Liberec, where he was the top seed.

Looking at the damage to the car, Vesely was certainly lucky to be not injured in the accident.

In 2020, Vesely won his first title since 2015 at the Maharashtra Open beating Egor Gerasimov. He reached a career-high ranking of world number 35 in 2015. He is currently ranked 87 in the world. He has won two singles titles in his career.
