Aslan Karatsev‘s calves are the talk of the town wherever he goes. Fans are lining up to take pictures of his calves. I am not exaggerating the reactions. Any social media discussion on Karatsev has to mention the obvious fact that he has big calves. Matteo Berrettini, on the other extreme, when it comes to calves, must be jealous of Karatsev’s calves.

He is 28 and has been around the tour for some time. But 2021 has been a breakout year for Aslan Karatsev.   He reached the semifinals at the Australian Open as a qualifier. Not long after, he won his first singles title in Dubai. He went on to the silver medal in mixed doubles with Elena Vesnina at the Tokyo Olympics.

Since Emma Raducanu won the 2021 US Open title, she has become very famous in Britain. Sponsors are competing with each other to sign up Raducanu.

But there is another trend sweeping the UK. People are naming their newborn daughters Emma after the popular tennis player.

If the trend catches on, Emma will become a popular name for girls in Britain. Hopefully, it also encourages them to play tennis. Britain failed to capitalize on Andy Murray’s accomplishments to promote the sport. Hopefully, lessons were learned from that experience.
