Sorana Cirstea is a veteran Romanian player who has beaten several top players in the world. In 2013, she reached her peak singles ranking of world number 21.

Cirstea is known for her aggressive baseline game which relies on her flat groundstrokes. Her backhand is her favorite shot and she uses it effectively to dictate play on the court. She is also very good at the net, which is helped by her doubles play.

Cruz Hewitt, the son of retired Australian great Lleyton Hewitt was seen practicing with the Australian Davis Cup team earlier this week. The 12-year old Hewitt won the Australian junior clay court title earlier this year.

Lleyton Hewitt is currently the captain of the Australian Davis Cup team. Occasionally, Hewitt and his wife Beth share pictures of Cruz on their social media pages. Cruz Hewitt’s on-court demeanor is eerily similar to that of  senior Hewitt.

Hewitt had recently strong opinions about Davis Cup potentially moving to Abu Dhabi. He said:

So if they are going and selling the soul of the Davis Cup to the Middle East for another five years, I think it’s ridiculous, and they are really killing the competition.

Lleyton Hewitt spent 80 weeks as world number and won two grand slam titles. Hewitt married Bec Cartwright in April 2005. The couple has two daughters and a son.
