Kevin Anderson Announces Retirement From Tennis

South African tennis star Kevin Anderson has hung up his racquet. The two-time grand slam champion has been struggling with injuries in recent years and dropped out of the Top 100 in rankings, which made it difficult to qualify for tournaments.

Anderson announced the news on social media.

Anderson played college tennis at Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He was a three-time All American in singles and two-time All American in doubles.

He is the highest-ranked South African on the ATP tour – world number 5- matching the record held by Kevin Curren.

Anderson is married to golfer Kelsey O’Neal. They have a daughter Kiera, who was born in 2019. Anderson holds South African citizenship but is a permanent resident of the United States.

Novak Djokovic’s Former Coach Marian Vajda Now Coaching Coaching Alex Molcan

Novak Djokovic‘s former coach Marian Vajda is now working with Alex  Molcan. Vajda  split with Novak Djokovic at the end of the year. At the time, he had said that he wasn’t interested in traveling for most of the year. 

Molcan, who is from Slovakia, is currently ranked just inside the Top 50 in the world. He is currently Slovakia’s top ranked tennis player. He has reached two ATP finals in his career but has yet to win a title.

Marian Vajda was Djokovic’s coach for most of his career. He led Djokovic to 85 titles. He coached Djokovic to 20 grand slam titles.in 2018, Vajda was voted the ATP Coach Of The Year. He previously led Slovakia’s Davis Cup and Fed Cup teams.
