Andy Roddick hit a serve that clocked 153 mph (246.2 km/h) in a match against Paradorn Srichaphan in the quarter-finals. It was the fastest served recorded at the time. The record has since been broken.

Once Uncomfortable With Dogs, Roger Federer Gets A Dog Named Willow

Roger Federer, who had resisted getting a dog for a long time, announced that his family has a new dog named Willow. He shared the news on social media with a picture.

Federer has come a long way since this awkward encounter with a dog for a Wilson promo video.

Federer has been out of action since Wimbledon last year. He underwent second knee surgery and the rehab has taken longer than expected. Federer is expected to return to competitive tennis in the fall.

Federer will turn 41 this year. With young stars such as Carlos Alcaraz rising on the tour, it’s not clear if Federer can keep up with the young guns physically. But Federer has announced that he will play at the Laver Cup and his home tournament of Basel.

While Federer was away from the tour, Rafael Nadal surpassed his record of 20 grand slams. Novak Djokovic is also widely expected to exceed 20 grand slams soon.
