Naomi Osaka Loses Million With Crypto Exchange FTX’s Bankruptcy, Sued for Promoting Firm

Crypto fan Naomi Osaka is set to lose millions as the crypto exchange company FTX declared bankruptcy.  To make things worse, Osaka is being sued along with other top athletes such as Tom Brady and Steph Curry, who are also associated with FTX.

Last year, Naomi Osaka became a global ambassador for FTX. As part of the deal, she got an equity stake in FTX. Her payment was supposed to be made in cryptocurrency but cryptocurrencies have collapsed in value this year. It’s not clear how much equity Osaka received. But the equity is now worth zero as the company has declared bankruptcy. 

On the court, Naomi Osaka struggled all year with injuries. Her best grand slam result came at the Australian Open where she made it to the third round.

Felix Auger-Aliassime Wraps Up A Spectacular 2022 – Wins ATP Cup, Davis Cup, And Laver Cup (+4 titles)

Felix Auger-Aliassime has finished a spectacular 2022 season. He finishes the year ranked world number 6. Here are his accomplishments behind incredible 2022.

Auger-Aliassime won four titles this year – Rotterdam, Florence, Antwerp & Basel. He reached the quarterfinals at the Australian Open and the fourth round at Wimbledon.

At the beginning of the year, he helped Canada win the ATP Cup. At the end of the year, he helped Canada win its first Davis Cup in 10 years. He played a role in the semifinal win over Italy and the final victory over Australia.

At the Laver Cup, he beat Novak Djokovic and helped Team World beat Team Europe. In all, Auger Aliassime won three team titles – the ATP Cup, Laver Cup, and the Davis Cup.

Speaking of his Davis Cup victory, Auger-Aliassime said:

The emotions are tough to describe. We grew up together, and dreamed about being on this stage, winning these matches. It’s really a dream come true. That’s what we play for. It’s a great moment for us and for the country.

Until last year, he was struggling to win titles. But now is comfortable on the big stage and delivering impressive results for himself and his team. A grand slam title is not too for the Felix Auger-Aliassime. His coach Frederic Fontang has been nominated for the ATP Coach of the Year for 2022.
