Bjorn Fratangelo has mostly played in lower-tier tournaments and Challenger events in recent years due to his low ranking. As a junior, he won the 2011 Roland Garros title beating Dominic Thiem. Fratangelo was the first American boys’ champion at Roland Garros since John McEnroe in 1977.

Frantangelo’s dad was born and raised in Italy. He moved to the US when he was 10. Bjorn Fratangelo was named after legendary tennis player, Bjorn Borg.
