Ana Konjuh fractured her fibula at the 2022 French Open and underwent surgery immediately. She shared the news on social media with a picture from the hospital after the surgery.
Konjuh, a junior world number 1, was world number 20 on the women’s tour in 2017. But she had surgery on her right elbow that year and dropped out of the top 1000. In 2021, she worked her way back into the top 100.
In 2016, she reached the quarterfinals at the US Open – her best grand slam result. She has won 1 singles title in her career.
