Who Is Carlos Alcaraz’s Coach?

Carlos Alcaraz Garfia has been coached by  Juan Carlos Ferrero since 2019. Carlos Alcaraz won his first ATP title at the Croatian Open beating Richard Gasquet and became the youngest ATP champion in more than a decade.

Carlos Alcaraz reached the quarterfinals at the 2021 US Open becoming the youngest US Open quarterfinalist in the open era. He also reached the quarterfinals at the 2022 French Open.

Experts have predicted that Alcaraz will win multiple grand slam titles. With his aggressive baseline game backed by a powerful forehand, Alcaraz can beat anyone. Clay is his best surface and he is often compared to compatriot Rafael Nadal. But Alcaraz has rejected the Nadal comparisons.

Juan Carlos Ferrero won the 2003 French Open and was runner-up at the 2002 French Open and 2003 US Open. Nicknamed the “Mosquito” for his slender build, he won 16 titles in his career and was ranked number 1 in the world.

Ferrero coached Alexander Zverev from July 2017 to February 2018. He split up with Zverev due to differences. Ferrero wanted Zverev to show discipline in his off-the-court but Zverev wanted more freedom.
