Petra Kvitova has confirmed that she is dating her coach Jiri Vanek. Vanek has been coaching Kvitova since 2016. Prior to that, Vanek coached Karolina Pliskova.

Jiri Vanek is a former professional tennis player from the Czech Republic. His ATP ranking peaked at 74 in the world in 2000. Vanek is divorced and has two children from his previous marriage to his first wife Marketa.

Kvitova has dated a several men in recent years. In 2015, Kvitova was engaged to Czech hockey player Radek Meidl but the couple separated.  She also dated Czech tennis players Radek Stepanek and Adam Pavlasek.

Kvitova is a two-time Wimbledon champion – she won the singles title in 2011 and 2014. She reached the finals at the Australian Open in 2019. She won the bronze medal at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics.
