Tunisia has honored 2022 Wimbledon finalist Ons Jabeur with a stamp. Jabeur has been a trailblazer for Tunisia and the Arab world. She is the highest-ranked Arab and African player in WTA history. Jabeur was one of 22 women honored with stamps by Tunisia’s postal service.
The postal service issued the stamps to celebrate the women who have defined the country on Tunisia’s National Women’s day. Tunisia celebrates National Women’s Day annually on August 13.
Ons Jabeur recently received the Order of Sports Merit from Tunisian President Kais Saied for success on the tennis court, for raising Tunisia’s profile globally, and for being an inspiration to girls.
Jabeur is one of the most well-liked players on the tour. She is funny – both in person and online- and is respected by her peers on the tour.
