As a junior, Emilio Nava reached two grand slam finals – at the 2019 Australian Open and 2019 US Open. His junior rankings peaked at world number 5. Since turning pro, he has been playing mostly at the Challenger level.

Nava comes from a tennis family – his brother Eduardo Nava  played college tennis at Texas Christian University and Wake Forest University.
