Karen Khachanov Commits To Playing Halle for Three Years

Karen Khachanov has signed a three-year contract to play at the Grass Court Open Halle.  The tournament held in Halle, Germany is a Wimbledon warm-up tournament. While most players prefer warm-up tournaments in Britain, Halle has attracted quite a few top stars in recent years.

The tournament also has a lifetime contract with Roger Federer and a long-term contract with Alexander Zverev.

Kei Nishikori To Miss Asian Swing Due to Arm Injury

Kei Nishikori will miss the Asian Swing — his hometown tournament, Tokyo and Shanghai — due to an arm injury  that he has had on and off since May.

The much anticipated exhibition match between Nishikori and Roger Federer on October 14 in Tokyo is also canceled.

If things go according plan, Nishikori  plans to play Vienna and Paris.  He is in the running for the year-end  ATP finals in London. Nishikori has committed to play Davis Cup later this year.
